And GSP has walked the walk.  After much talking by challenger Nick Diaz, the score has been settled and at the end, it was the champion who came out with his hand raised.  With 50-45 score on all cards, George St. Pierre shuts Nick Diaz out entirely.  A total of 8 completed takedowns and almost the entire fight controlling the top gave every single round to the champ.

Diaz has his moments in the fight and both men bear the marks of combat on their faces, but it wasn't enough, yet again.  Diaz hinted towards a possible retirement from MMA in the post fight interview with Joe Rogan, but then again, we have heard that before.

In the co-main event, and surely fight of the night, Johny Hendricks puts on the performance of a lifetime again the very game Carlos Condit, who survived Hendrick's left hand many more times than anyone else inside the Octagon.  Hendricks is now the official number one contender for the UFC welterweight belt.

Jake Ellenberger trampled Nate Marquardt's return to the eight-sided cage with an incredible knock out late in the first round.
