The Ultimate Fighting Championship is back on the saddle once again after a small hiatus due to the infamous and unprecedented cancellation of UFC 151. UFC 152 comes to us LIVE from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Canada. Two championship showdowns and a great card to boot.
History in the making in the co-main event of the night as Demetrious "Mighty Mouse" Johnson battles Joseph Benavidez for the inaugural Flyweight Championship. Benavidez and Johnson are the last men standing after an also historical flyweight tournament that was not exempt from controversy after Demetrious Johnson and Ian McCall fought to a draw due to an accounting error on the judges cards. The tournament had a "sudden death" clause that would prevent a fight from ending in a draw by forcing an extra round if the score cards were even.
Johnson-Benavidez was originally schedule to headline UFC 152 prior to the UFC 151 debacle.
The second co-feature is a middleweight scrap between Michael "The Count" Bisping and All-American Brian Stann. Rumors of title contendership for Bisping are being tossed around, if he can get past Stann's powerfull hands.
The main event of the evening is the attempted resurection of UFC 151. UFC light heavyweight champ, Jon "Bones" Jones, puts his belt on the line against Vitor "The Phenom" Belfort, who stepped in to save the day after disaster struck the company last month with the first ever cancellation of an event.
