“Women’s MMA doesn’t have a face, it has a heart; the heart of thousands of female warriors willing to put their bodies on the line just to entertain the MMA masses. To all you WMMA fighters about to kick ass, we salute you!”~ Angel R. Cordero, The MMA Truth

The Deadline Press is a new line of articles that will be coming out at The MMA Truth just hours before every major MMA card.  The goal is to capture any last-minute opinions after weigh-ins and pre-fight pressers.  Enjoy!

A lot has been said about Women’s MMA; “there are not enough athletes to build the divisions,” “women belong in the kitchen,” and so forth.  Well, let me tell you something Mr. Sonnen and Mr. White, here comes Invicta FC, and your points will be defeated tonight.

Invicta FC comes down on the MMA industry tonight from the Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas, and with it, eleven WMMA bouts to kick off the company debut.  Talent from all the WMMA weight spectrum will be represented.

Famous faces decorate the card while names that will ring as new to MMA fans watching the event all over the world are sure to put on a show and leave their mark in the MMA history book.

“The Golden Girl” Marloes Coenen headlines the card in a rematch against Romy Ruyssen.  Ruyssen has been waiting for this rematch since 2008, when she was defeated by Coenen via rear naked choke, and has amassed four wins in a row since, all first-round submission.

"If you love this sport, then how can you not embrace it whether it's male or female athletes competing? Give us a shot. I'm definitely sure you will not be disappointed. Even if you hate women's MMA, come on over and check it out for a minute — at least you'll have something to talk about on the forums,” said company CEO Shannon Knapp on MMAJunkieRadio.

Invicta FC will definitely be the cradle for all the female talent looking to make a statement in MMA and it goes LIVE tonight.  The full card will be available on live stream and free, just visit www.invictafc.com.  The first fight starts at 7 p.m. ET.

Support Women’s MMA, support Invicta FC, or we will come after you!  Enjoy the fights!
