It's TIME!

Strikeforce have recently had this beautiful little habit of putting together fight cards worthy of pure entertainment, excluding Werdum vs Overeem, yawn city. Despite the previous snooze fest I'm anticipating a night of fireworks.

Headlining the night of fights is former Pride heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko and former Pride welterweight & middleweight champion Dan Henderson. This ladies and gentlemen is a sure as hell clash of the titans! Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Dan Henderson agreed to meet Fedor at heavyweight, tipping the scales at 207lbs as were heavyweight Fedor weighed in at 223lbs. Are you on the same wavelength as me if I said this has KO spray painted all over it!? Both men can dish out nasty knuckle sandwiches of the highest calibre but who will fall first!?

Co-Main event sits on Strikeforce welterweight champion Marloes Coenen and Meisha Tate's shoulders. The champ is riding two titles defenses (Submissions), fighting 4 months previously as were challenger Tate is two weeks off a year since winning the Strikeforce women's welterweight tournament. Personally I believe Tate will be submitted with the distance.

Tim Kennedy and Robbie Lawler are on opposite sides of the career ladder, TK is coming off a submission win over Dutch powerhouse Melvin Manhoef and has four wins out of his last five bouts. RL on the other hand is 2-3 (Win-Loss), a win via KO in a comeback of the century against Melvin Manhoef and another KO win coming courtesy of Matt Lindland. I see Robbie knocking Kennedy out in the second round!

British knock out merchant Paul 'Semtex' Daley and Tyron Woodley is a match up that kind of reminds me of Daley vs Koscheck. I sincerely hope not, for entertainment purposes. PD has four wins out of his last five since his stint in the UFC, the guy loves to go to town on his opponents with his feet and fists, which is extremely good to watch but when you're up against a wrestler as good as Woodley, eight fights undefeated and a specialist in taking you down and making you tap, Tyron may mirror what Koscheck done resulting in Daleys striking nullified, lets pray Semtex has been working his grappling. Prediction: TW 3rd round submission.

The final match up on the five fight card leaves us with MMA veteran Scott Smith and Belgian Tarec Saffiedine. What can we expect from these guys!? Smith is coming off a KO of the year loss to Brit Paul Daley leaving him 3-3 out of his last six. Tarec is 10-3 overall and recently lost to undefeated Tyron Woodley. I can see Smith winning via KO in the 1st round.

Strikeforce: Fedor vs Henderson is on SKY channel 480 for your PPV pleasure.
